This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is being sold as a salvage project/donor car, but I say keep it as-is and enjoy. Who in their right mind wouldn't want a 450hp V10 go-kart? And with a mere $13k asking price, its almost crazy NOT to buy it.

Seriously, add a plexiglass windscreen, weld on some cross-bars and a roll cage, chop the exhaust and the excess rear frame, and you're in business. Even as I write this, I'm having to resist the urge to write a check.

Somebody, please, buy this so I don't have to.

Sadly for me, I do. It is either this or down payment on a house. For the sake of my marriage, and very possibly my life. Man, putting a body on this frame and being happy would be a long shot. Lots of frame damage appears near where the suspension connects to the frame. The drivetrain looks awesome, with around 12K. You would be much better off pulling the bits off and scraping the frame than dropping a body on this beast..

Scary? Yes. Hard to control? Yes. There is however a reason it once held the Ring record.

It has plenty of front end grip.

There is a big difference between what is good at an auto cross and what is good on the 'Ring. For example, very very high power cars are great where you have time to let them run but in a situation where you rarely get out of second gear you are fighting traction limitations at all times.

Especially at the low speed turns, a viper isn't going to be as nimble as your 7's and other light kart style cars.

Considering the Viper has a 50/50 weight distribution and only weighs 3300 lbs when all put together, the only problem with this will be traction. Which is where driver skill and tires comes into play. And modern tires can handle 450 hp easily.

Not while turning, but the entire point of my second point was traction, however its not 50/50 its 48/52 (Pedantic but relevant) when you are talking about having to brake aggressively into corners the extra weight up front will matter when it comes to low speed turning at traction limits.

The fact that the airbag is gone tells me that it either popped in the accident or Pick-A-Part removed it and sold it. Doesn't matter, but Oppo has to find out who buys this and track what happens to it. What a great Winter project!
